Poem – Puzzle
November 6, 2024Let it ever be known
that I do have needs.
But where to bring them
has always plagued me.
Fear of rejection has kept them inside,
and beneath the surface of me I hide.
It’s hard to trust,
yet I’ve got to, to survive.
To learn to bring my needs to God,
instead of carry them up high,
upon my shoulders ‘til I carried the world.
Now I have needs,
I get them met.
I speak my peace, soft, not loud.
I watch, I wait, where peace doth rest
upon my soul.
No longer inside hide, but in front of truth,
I am let out.
For I know I’m loved no matter what I say or do.
Not perfect as revealed by light,
alive and well in all our sight.
